Global Foundries, a division of AMD, is the number two computer chip producer in the world. The 1.3 million sqft facility includes the Fab Building with a 300,000 sqft Clean Room and heavily mechanized Sub-Fab. Two 115,000V high-tension power lines and a 13,800V distribution system feed and support the complex.

Ducci’s scope of work included coordination and installation of all 13.8kV switchgear, all 480V (and lower) power from all unit substations for the Fab & Spine facilities, as well as installing all power and lighting in the Fab Building with clean room protocols in place. Intensive manpower levels and schedule commitments required the most stringent of quality and technical tolerances and the support of a robust on-site administrative team.
