The new Benjamin Franklin and Pauli Murray residential colleges, sprawling a city block and totaling 550,000 square feet, are the first constructed by Yale in over half a century.
With an elegance befitting the Yale campus, the gothic architecture and extremely demanding architectural lighting and aesthetics this project called for presented many unique challenges, not the least of which were tight site logistics, complex phased construction, and extremely tight BIM coordination.
Ducci’s scope included complete switchgear and power distribution systems, all branch circuitry and mechanical equipment power, all lighting fixtures & finish work, as well as complete fire alarm, life safety, data, intercom, lightning protection, theatrical lighting, and security/CCTV systems.
The finished product is one that Ducci is extraordinarily proud to have our name attached to, and a testament to our team’s capabilities extending far beyond typical commercial and industrial building construction.
